A proud member of

Extra Curricular activities.

At Mill Dam School we offer our learners a range of extra-curricular activities, these rotate on a half termly basis to provide wider experiences to all.

We have previously won national and local prizes for our gardening and extra-curricular sport.

Each of our classes has their own growing area and we are currently in the process of developing a whole school allotment to expand the produce we can grow.

A wide range of music lessons are available, from electric guitar to flute or drums, through school and are delivered either by Wakefield Music Service or Mr Thompson,

All clubs will be run and supervised by member of our teaching team and will run from 3-4pm.

We will be asking for a contribution of £1 per session towards resources and equipment.

Learners who are booked into After School Club will be able to attend extra-curricular activities at no additional cost and will be escorted to After School Club once the session has completed.

The extra-curricular activities we are offering are:

Monday KS1/2 Girls Football, Miss Norton and Mrs Hyde (30 spaces)

Tuesday Netball – Miss Rich

(Boys and girls welcome)

Wednesday Year 6 Booster clubs – all staff – Y6 attendance is required for this.

Thursday No clubs currently available

Friday KS1/2 Boys Football, Mr Moore (External football coach), Miss Norton (30 spaces) – starting from Friday 10th March.

Band club, Mr West and Mr Thompson

In order to allow us to plan and set up we are asking that places at extra-curricular clubs are booked in advance for a half term at a time through the school office and where possible payments for these periods are made through the online payment system. For example to attend STEM club for Autumn Term 1 would be a Six week commitment and a contribution of £6.

We look forward to seeing our learners engaging with these opportunities to widen their experiences.
